Abstrak
Kegiatan penjadwalan kuliah di perguruan tinggi merupkan aktifitas rutin setiap semester yang sangat kompleks dan biasanya memerlukan waktu yang cukup lama. Semakin banyak aturan dan batasan maka semakin banyak jadwal yang harus dicek dan jika tidak teliti besar kemungkinan jadwal bentrok pun banyak terjadi. Kesulitan pembuatan jadwal kuliah ini dirasakan oleh bagian penjadwalan di program studi ilmu komunikasi, selain memerlukan waktu yang lama juga masih sering banyak jadwal yang bentrok. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, sebagai tahap awal dilakukan analisis dan pemodelan sistem informasi jadwal kuliah dengan menggunakan algoritma ABC (Artificial Bee Colony). Metode penelitian yang digunakan mengacu kepada metode pengembangan sistem prototipe dan metode pendekatan berorientasi objek. Penelitian ini menghasilkan gambaran sistem dan model penerapan algoritma ABC pada sistem informasi jadwal kuliah.

Improving Work System By Reducing Setup Time Activity In Drying Room In Pharmaceutical Industry With Single Minutes Exchange Die (Smed

Abstrak
Pharmaceutical industry especially that move in generic products, have many kinds of products to be manufactured in its production lines with the shortest possible time. This condition causes the frequent of changeover process. This cause requires the company to further improve the effectiveness of the machine by reducing the time of changeover process in terms of setup and clean-up machine. In order to reducing the time of setup and clean-up activity use the method of approaches the SMED analysis method to reduce unnecessary motion waste (value added and nonvalue added derived from lean manufacturing). Before conduct the research, in the 5 production line was not in the Kanban system. So, it often occurs the changeover process. The longest changeover time is in the drying room. After that conduct the Time and Motion Study in order to know the detail setup activities in the drying room. This is due to problems in the working methods and environment factors. Based on data from observations made on the engine FBD, there are 49 activities comprising 44 internal activities and 5 activities that can be converted to an external. Then from 44 internal activities, only 43 were able to be combined activity of up to 11 activities. Results from this study is able to decrease setup time and clean-up on the machine FBD by 62.18%. Based on this result also, this can increase the productivity of the production line

The Online Journal Aggregator System Design Using User Centered Design (Ucd) Approach

Abstrak
Journal as a medium to explain the results of research. It has developed in such a way especially because of the rapid support of information and communication technology today. Various models of online-based journaling management can be easily operated by journals managers as well as writers / researchers who will include research results in the journal. It's just that with the number of journals that exist today, causing difficulties for the manager of journals to be able to promote the journals he managed, in addition to the manager of the journal sometimes difficult to get a researcher who would put his paper into the journal he manages. Meanwhile, with the number of journals that have been online, researchers will find it difficult to get information from the journals. Researchers should open their journal entries, read their profiles and publications, until they are interested to include papers in the journal. This problem is the background of the development of online journals aggregator system, which with this system will facilitate the meeting between journals, journal managers and writers or researchers. In order to develop an online journal aggregator system, a software development method is needed that directly captures the needs of its users. This study aims to implement the UCD method in the functional design and interface of the aggregator journal system. In order to determine the level of acceptance and support of prospective users of the aggregator journal system. Measurements were taken using Likert method with user acceptance preferences for 3 aspects of the system, namely: accessibility, navigation, and content aspects. The measurement results show 82% of prospective users state that the functional design and interface of the aggregator journal system can be accepted and can be developed to the next stage.
