Deskripsi/Abstrak

The wave propagation phenomenon is one phenomenon that is difficult to see in a real situations. One way to visualize a wave propagation is to use a simulation. Research using simulations can be done more quickly, efficiently and easily. Seismic surveys are carried out to determine the structure that exists under the surface of the earth, one of which is to look at the structure of the rock-forming minerals in carbonate rocks. Carbonate rock is one of the reservoir rocks or rocks that have oil and gas reserves, and is the main material for hydrocarbons. So that this rock will be used as a medium for wave propagation in order to be seen wave propagation when through rock-forming minerals and rock pores. Carbonate rocks will be processed into the rock petrographic technique so that the resulting thin slices will be processed as wave propagation media in this simulation. The software used for making this simulation is Seismic Unix (SU). That software is open source that works on the Linux platform. The waves are made using the 2D Finite Difference Modelling model (Fdelmodc-2D) Seismic Unix of software.
