Recommendations for Work Posture Using Nordic Body Maps and RULA Methods

PT X is a subsidiary engaged in gold mining in the Banten region, in carrying out its production process still involves a lot of human relationships with machines, human involvement in running its production machines allows a risk of injury to arise. The risk of this injury involves the movement of the upper limbs and there are repetitive body movements that cause complaints. To measure the extent of the risk of injury to human and machine relationship activities, the Nordic Body Map and RULA methods are used. The results of the Nordic Body Map questionnaire showed that there were complaints from four operators, three of which could be categorized as moderate with a score range of 50-53 with a note that corrective action was needed because the activities carried out by workers in posture were not ideal and 1 operator was low with a score of 40. The three operators followed up with a RULA technique assessment getting a final score of 7, this value provides a note that the investigation and implement change. This condition gives the understanding that prepentive actions need to be carried out in a way that is necessary to investigate and implement changes to the working posture.
